| For years, Timberline Marine's parent company -- Timberline Controls -- has worked with Matthews Marine Systems of Portland, Oregon. Throughout this time, the corporate relationship between the two companies grew stronger and Timberline Controls expressed interest into bringing its expertise and experience in to the marine industry.
Thus, in the Spring of 2007 was born a new company -- Timberline Marine Systems, Inc. Supported not only by the highly skilled staff of Timberline Controls, but also with the 40+ years of expertise in the field from Matthews Marine.
Starting In the Summer of 2008, Timberline Marine Systems, Inc formed a strategic partnership with Matthews Marine to develop and provide an exciting new product: The Z-Drive (click for more information). The goal: to develop a lower cost, high quality azimuth control system -- engineered, fabricated and supported right here in North America.
